Chicago Chapter

WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT

It is an incredibly exciting time to be in the data center industry. The demand for data center power has never been more critical, driven by the insatiable need for computing to support technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and, in the near future, Quantum Computing. In today’s business landscape, technology is at the core of everything, making the role of data centers more vital than ever. The demand for data center and colocation space remains robust in our Midwest market. The challenges posed by the pandemic have not only reshaped our way of thinking but have also amplified our reliance on technology.

We are honored to be a part of this vibrant technology community, playing a key role in advancing IT and data center professionals through the AFCOM mission of education, networking, and guidance.

As the third-largest metropolitan area in the U.S. and the fourth-largest data center market, Chicagoland is a hub of technological growth and innovation. The AFCOM Chicago Chapter is committed to elevating the level of discourse within our community and collaborating with other chapters during this unique period in history. We invite you to join us as a member, attend our events, and contribute to the leadership that is strengthening the technological foundation of Chicagoland.
