Charlene Lujan is the Chief Technology Ambassador at METech, where she leads efforts in data center management and sustainable asset disposition globally. Her technology career started almost 14 years ago at a VAR reseller building custom racks for Enterprise, Fortune 500 & OEM’s for data centers & colocation in Silicon Valley. A diverse career that began in nursing and transitioned through Real Estate into technology, Charlene brings a unique perspective to mission-critical industries. She is passionate about environmental responsibility and advocating for diversity in tech. Her expertise spans IT asset management, recycling, data destruction, solar power EOL and circular economy service practices, with a strong focus on reducing the environmental footprint of data centers. As a champion of inclusivity and innovation, Charlene is dedicated to fostering a more sustainable and equitable future in the tech industry. She is a MWOB Founder of Smartwaste Inc. , an investor as a Principal for new cutting edge technology and a Founding shareholder in a DEI ai company. In her spare time she enjoys martial arts, fitness, family & friends, church and exploring new restaurants.

Melissa Olson Bio

Data Center Solutions Leader, Belimo Americas

Melissa Olson leverages over two decades of expertise in mechanical and control systems in her role as Data Center Solutions Leader at Belimo Americas. Her responsibilities include providing support to data center owners and operators through application assistance, custom solution development, comprehensive training programs, and global support initiatives. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Throughout her career, Melissa has actively contributed to the field as a dedicated member of ASHRAE. She has held various roles in the ASHRAE San Joaquin Chapter, including serving as chapter president. Currently, Melissa serves as Co-Chair of AFCOM NorCal Silicon Valley Women’s Innovation Lab and is a corresponding member of ASHRAE Technical Committee 9.9.
